A public hearing on the Homefield redevelopment project, at the former Schlitterbahn water park location, 94th and State Avenue, is planned at the 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, Unified Government Commission meeting.
The meeting will be held remotely via the internet and telephone.
The Homefield project plans to use STAR (sales tax revenue) bonds. The UG Commission is asked to approve the redevelopment project plans on Thursday night.

Also on the agenda for the 7 p.m. Nov. 5 UG Commission meeting are an ordinance that would change the penalty for the sale of tobacco products to minors. The ordinance amendment would penalize the retailer and not the purchaser or cashier.

An ordinance to remove property from the STAR bond project district in project area A, Talladega Road, for the URBN development project near the Kansas Speedway.
Approval of a management agreement with Max Fun Entertainment, to manage the baseball stadium in Village West (formerly the T-Bones Stadium).
Assignment of and assumption agreement with SC Investors KCK and Neucon LLC for the Spira Care building at 9700 Troup Ave.
An ordinance requiring influenza cases to be reported to the UG Public Health Department.
Authorizing a survey of lands for the 2018-2019 priority traffic signal project.
A local match of $165,000 for the $300,000 long-range transportation, land use integration and environmental planning process.
At the 5 p.m. Nov. 5 UG special session, there will be an overview of the proposed legislative program, followed by a winter weather report by the UG Public Works Department.
The meeting is expected to be carried on UGTV on cable television, and also on YouTube.
