Public hearing date to be set for downtown grocery redevelopment district project plan

The downtown grocery redevelopment district’s project plan hearing date is on the agenda for the Monday evening meeting of the Economic Development and Finance Committee.

The EDF meeting will be held after the 5 p.m. Neighborhood and Community Development Committee meeting on Monday, Jan. 14, in the fifth-floor conference room, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

According to the EDF agenda, a resolution will be considered that will set a public hearing on the proposed project plan at 7 p.m. March 28 in the Commission Chambers, lobby level, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

Also on the EDF Committee agenda is a presentation on proposed UG debt policy revisions.

Also on the agenda is a presentation on the 2018 small business grant program, and the plans for 2019.

At the 5 p.m. meeting Jan. 14, the UG Neighborhood and Community Development Committee is scheduled to consider Land Bank property acquisition applications, and an update is scheduled on a Land Bank hold area in the downtown Kansas City, Kansas, area.
