Public comment meetings on K-32 planned Wednesday, Thursday

Public comment meetings on the K-32 improvement project in Wyandotte County are planned Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, the meetings are set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 4953 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at the Bonner Springs Community Center, Sunflower Room, 200 E. 3rd ST., Bonner Springs.

The meetings will discuss goals for a 10-year improvement plan for the K-32 corridor. They may also discuss 20- to 30-year goals.

Redevelopment, new development, infill, transportation options, recreational opportunities, corridor branding and other topics may be discussed.

There will be exhibits illustrating options. The planning area is on K-32 from 57th Street to Bonner Springs’ western limits.

The K-32 Tri-City Multimodal Redevelopment Plan is a joint effort of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County – Kansas City, Kan., and the cities of Bonner Springs and Edwardsville, Kan.

Online comments about the K-32 corridor plan also are being accepted at k32.digicate.com through April 15.
