The Powerball jackpot will be $700 million Wednesday night, according to the Kansas Lottery.
It’s the second highest jackpot of any lottery game, topped only by the $1.58 billion Powerball jackpot in January 2016.
Lottery officials said if the jackpot were to be won by a single ticket sold in Kansas, and the winner took the cash option of $443.3 million, he or she would receive a payment of approximately $310.3 million, after the Lottery withheld federal (25 percent) and state (5 percent) income taxes on the prize.
According to the odds chart on the Kansas Lottery website, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot on one ticket are 1 in 292,201,338. The odds of winning $4 are about 1 in 39.
There is also the possibility that the jackpot could be divided among multiple winners, according to the website.
