Powerball jackpot rises to $301 million tonight

Two bucks will get you the opportunity to dream about winning a fortune, as the Powerball jackpot hits an estimated $301 million tonight.

Don’t, however, count on winning the jackpot. Odds are about 1 in 175 million of winning, and if it is hit, the jackpot may be split among more than one winner, according to Powerball odds charts.

The cash option for a Powerball jackpot winner on Wednesday night is an estimated $191.4 million.

According to the Kansas Lottery, the Powerball jackpot has been on a roll since Aug. 1, after a California resident matched all numbers to win a jackpot worth $110 million. The last time players had a chance to win a Powerball jackpot over $300 million was in the Feb. 4, 2015,
drawing, when the jackpot climbed to $317 million.

The Kansas Lottery said the Super Kansas Cash jackpot has rolled to an estimated $425,000. Although no tickets matched all numbers in the Sept. 26 drawing, three lucky tickets matched the first five Super Kansas Cash numbers, but not the Cash Ball, to win $2,000 each. The winning tickets were purchased in south central, northeast and southeast Kansas, a lottery spokesman said.

The Hot Lotto jackpot also continues to climb after no tickets matched all numbers in the Sept. 26 drawing. The estimated Hot Lotto jackpot is $2.43 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.

No tickets matched all numbers in the Sept. 25 and 29 Mega Millions drawings. The jackpot rolled to an estimated $47 million, with a cash option of $29.5 million, for the Oct. 2 drawing.
