A fire at a power pole in the Fairfax industrial area on Wednesday morning affected traffic and resulted in some businesses experiencing a loss of power.
According to the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department, it was a main distribution utility pole at 7th and Funston that burned and became unstable.
The intersection had to be shut down until repairs could be made. The fire was extinguished.
