A power outage affecting more than 6,900 customers was reported Friday afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to the BPU’s power outage map, 6,939 people were without power about 2:30 p.m. Friday, mostly in the central part of Kansas City, Kansas. More than 1,000 outage calls were made by customers, according to the power outage map.
According to a Board of Public Utilities spokesman, a substation went offline, and all power is now restored.
The outage lasted only about a half-hour in some places.
