A possible injury was reported after a three-vehicle crash on I-635 north near Swartz Road around 10:47 a.m. April 6 in Kansas City, Kan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a Ford Focus was northbound on I-635 this morning when the crash occurred.
Traffic had slowed in front of the Focus and the driver was distracted, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Focus made an evasive maneuver, according to the trooper’s report, and then struck a a BMW and a GMC Sierra.
Not very far ahead of the crash was another incident on I-635 involving a semi with a load shift, with a trailer of methanol disconnected from a semi. That incident caused a shutdown of I-635 north.
The driver of the Focus, a 50-year-old woman from Mission, Kan., was not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the BMW, a 72-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., also was not injured, according to the report.
The driver of the GMC Sierra, a 30-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., had a possible injury, according to the report.
