Polski Day 2015 celebrates Polish heritage
by William Crum
Every year at this time one of the greatest celebrations in Kansas City, Kan., happens. The event is called Polski Day.
It attracts people from all over the metropolitan Kansas City area. As many know, this is part of our heritage and the first weekend in May is the celebration.
This year the event was even bigger and better than ever. Like always the food was fantastic and the celebration was equally as well.
This event started in 1981 in part to celebrate the great Polish heritage in this area.
This year, 6th Street was blocked, and the National Guard brought a tank to help a boxing club in Kansas City, Kan., raise money.
On Saturday, the parade started on time as always. This year it was even bigger and better than ever. Truly an event the whole family can enjoy.
