Police seek person of interest in homicide case

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department is seeking a person of interest in a homicide that happened Saturday, Jan. 30.

The public is asked to assist in locating Kenneth N. Crowley, 27, police said.

The police also are seeking assistance in locating Laneia Taylor, 37, a possible kidnapping victim, according to the spokesman.

Crowley and Taylor are believed to be in a dark blue 2006 Hyundai Azera with Kansas license plate 898JAD, the spokesman stated.

At about 5:01 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Minnesota Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a man in his early 40s, deceased inside the residence, according to a spokesman.

The incident is being investigated by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Major Case Unit, the spokesman stated.
