Police blocked off South 78th Street from Riverview Avenue to Stony Point South School on Tuesday evening, seeking a burglary suspect.
The man was sought in connection to a burglary at Cabela’s on Monday night in Kansas City, Kansas. Police also are investigating burglaries at Victory Dodge and Legends Honda, according to a spokesman.
A police spokesman stated officers had received information Tuesday that the suspect was inside a nearby residence. They set up a perimeter in the South 78th area and later discovered the residence was vacant, the spokesman stated.
A woman was taken into custody at Cabela’s after the burglary attempt, according to the police spokesman.
