Police request public’s assistance in identifying vehicle

Kansas City, Kan., police are requesting the public’s assistance to locate a vehicle in connection with a homicide on Aug. 22 in the 4600 block of Leavenworth Road.

The victim of the homicide, Joshua Bush, 38, was found just off the road by city street crews, who were mowing in the area.

A vehicle that was seen in the area was believed to be a mid-1990s green Honda with a white pinstripe, police said. It has a distinctive gray trim along the bottom of the car and a very loud muffler, police said. There aren’t any hubcaps on the tires on the right side of the car. The vehicle is believed to frequent the area of 18th and Minnesota Avenue, police said.

The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
