Police request help in identifying suspect in gas station robbery and shooting

Kansas City, Kansas, police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an aggravated robbery and aggravated battery at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at a gas station in the 300 block of North 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.

A victim was pumping gas when the suspect pistol-whipped the victim to the ground, shot him and attempted to take his vehicle, a police spokesman stated. The location is near 18th and Grandview.

The suspect fled in a light blue Ford Taurus, thought to be a year 2000 to 2007 model, police stated. The Taurus appeared to be displaying a temporary tag, according to police. The vehicle has two different rim styles on the driver’s side.
