Sexual battery reported
Sexual battery was reported to the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department about 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, according to a social media post by the police department.
According to the report, the victim was serving the suspect. When the victim leaned down, the suspect put a hand on the victim in a sexual manner, according to the report. The suspect was taken into custody.
Vehicle pursuit reported on Kansas Avenue
Officers tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Wednesday night in the 6500 block of Kansas Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The vehicle failed to stop for the officers and a pursuit was initiated, the report stated. The pursuit was later terminated, and the suspect was not apprehended, according to the report.
