Burglary reported at 37th and State Avenue
A commercial burglary was reported at 9 p.m. Nov. 20 at 3720 State Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers answered an alarm call and found the front door of the building shattered, according to the report. An unknown person or persons entered the store, stole several items of clothing, and also emptied the cash register, according to police.
Shooting reported on Tennyson
A shooting into an occupied dwelling was reported at 1 a.m. Nov. 20 in the 1900 block of Tennyson Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
A victim said he awoke to numerous shots fired in front of his house. Five rounds struck the residence but several more shell casings were found in the street, according to police.
