Shooting reported on Tenny
A shooting was reported at 1:18 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 800 block of Tenny Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Two suspects knocked on the victim’s front door, according to the report, and when the victim looked out the window, suspects began shooting at the door.
The bullets entered the house and caused damage, according to the report.
Suspect found in possession of meth
Police officers were dispatched at 1:42 a.m. Jan. 25 to the 1000 block of North 24th, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The suspect had outstanding warrants and was in possession of methamphetamine, according to the report. The suspect also needed treatment from a previous gunshot wound, and upon his request, was taken to a hospital by EMS for treatment, the report stated.
Shooting reported on Orville
An unknown suspect driving a red medium-sized sport utility vehicle fired into a residence at 2:37 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 2500 block of Orville Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victims were inside the home at the time of the shooting, the report stated.
Burglary reported on Leavenworth Road
An unknown suspect threw a rock through the front window door of a business at 3:23 a.m. in the 6000 block of Leavenworth Road, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The suspect attempted to pry open the cash till, according to the report. Evidence was recovered.
Strong-armed robbery reported on Leavenworth Road
A robbery was reported at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 25 at a pharmacy in the 6000 block of Leavenworth Road, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
A clerk stated that a man with a limp had entered the store, walked about the store for about 10 minutes, and then approached the pharmacy counter, according to the report.
The man produced a note from his pocket that stated he had a gun, and he wanted all the money and painkillers, according to the report.
The clerk complied, and the suspect then fled through the back door of the store, according to the report.
