Shooting reported on 38th Street
Officers were sent to the site of a shooting at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 2400 block of North 38th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim said her home had been struck earlier, on Jan. 1, with several rounds while it was occupied, causing damage, according to the report. No injuries were reported. The victim waited to complete the report until hearing from her landlord.
Identity theft reported
A victim reported an identity theft case at 12:49 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 5900 block of Wood, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim stated that someone had created a credit card account and charged multiple amounts on it, according to the report.
Trespassing reported on Barnett
A trespassing case was reported about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 800 block of Barnett, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The caller had a signed trespass order. Police asked the person to leave and encouraged him to leave, but the person declined, the report stated. The person was booked into the Wyandotte County Jail, according to the report.
Employees evacuated during security incident
Officers responded to the GM Fairfax Plant in the 3200 block of Fairfax Trafficway on the afternoon of Jan. 4 and assisted the on-site security team to investigate a security concern, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Employees were evacuated out of an abundance of caution, the report stated. When the premises were clear, the employees returned to work, according to the report.
