Disturbance reported near 6th and Minnesota
An individual was taken to the hospital after a disturbance at 9:51 a.m. Dec. 1 in the 600 block of Minnesota Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
According to the report, an individual was screaming and walking in and out of traffic at the location. The person continued to stand in the street, throw his personal items and take his clothes off, according to the report.
After unsuccessfully trying to get the person to leave the area, officers took the suspect into protective custody and requested emergency medical service. While waiting for EMS to respond, the person tried to kick, bite and wrap his legs around officers, according to the report. The person was taken into custody and taken to a hospital for evaluation, the report stated.
Victim hit in head by baseball bat

A victim went to the 1300 block of North 7th Street to try to get a job around 1 p.m. Dec. 1, according to the report. The victim stated an argument developed, and a suspect swung a baseball bat at his head, striking him, the report stated.
Commercial burglary reported on Kansas Avenue
A commercial burglary was reported at 4 p.m. Nov. 30 in the 6000 block of Kansas Avenue, according to a social media report by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers responded to a commercial burglary report call, and found that an unknown suspect damaged the property to gain access, according to the report.
The suspect took property without permission, according to the report.
Victim struck by gunfire
Officers responded to a shooting call at 11:29 p.m. Nov. 30 in the 1000 block of North 29th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
A victim was in the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound, according to the report. The victim was taken to a hospital, the report stated.
