Victim assaulted while taking out the trash

A victim was taking out the trash around 1:52 a.m. Oct. 20 in the 6000 block of Oakland Avenue when a known suspect arrived, pointed a weapon at her and demanded information, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The suspects then fled.

Victim shot at stoplight at 18th and Central

A victim was waiting at the stoplight at 18th and Central Avenue about 4:45 a.m. Oct. 20 when she was shot by an unknown suspect, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, police Department.

The victim then drove herself to an area business where she called for assistance, the report stated. The victim was taken to a hospital where she was listed in life-threatening but stable condition, the report stated.

Suspects taken into custody for stolen property

While they were on patrol, officers located a stolen vehicle at 7:18 a.m. Oct. 20 in the area of the 800 block of Hillcrest Drive, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The occupants of the vehicle ran to the south, but police were able to find the suspects and take them into custody, according to the report.

All of the suspects were in possession of weapons, and two had stolen weapons, the report stated. The suspects were booked into the jail, according to the report.

Armed robbery reported on Parallel Parkway

Police responded to a dispatched call about a robbery in progress at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 4600 block of Parallel Parkway, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

An unknown male suspect entered the store, and lingered for an extended time, according to employees.

The suspect then brandished a weapon and demanded the employees open their register, the report stated. The suspect then fled, according to the report.

Shots fired into occupied vehicle

Shots were fired into an occupied vehicle at 8:53 p.m. in the 900 block of Argentine Boulevard, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The victim stated that while parked, he was shot at by an unknown person shot for an unknown reason, according to the report. The victim’s vehicle was struck multiple times, according to the report. The suspect then fled, the report stated.
