Armed robbery reported at 10th and Kimball
Police responded to a dispatched call about an armed robbery at 2:25 a.m. Oct. 14 at 10th and Kimball, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim said he met a girl at a nearby park, and while sitting in the parking lot, they were approached by three male suspects on foot, according to the report.
A suspect pointed a gun at him, demanded property, struck him in the face and took property, including his vehicle, the report stated.
The victim had minor injuries, and emergency medical personnel responded, according to the report.
Wounded deer euthanized
Officers responded to a report of a wounded deer at 11:49 p.m. Oct. 14 in the 9200 block of Parallel Parkway, according to a social media post from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
When they arrived, officers found the deer had severe injuries, according to the report.
Officers asked for permission to euthanize the deer, which was suffering and unable to move out of the roadway, the report stated. Police blocked traffic, made sure the area was safe to discharge a weapon, and notified dispatch of the impending shots to be fired, according to the report. Then the deer was struck with a single round, causing immediate incapacitation, the report stated. Animal control was notified.
