Robbery reported on Leavenworth Road
A victim was inside a business at 4:40 p.m. Aug. 27 at 34th and Leavenworth Road when a suspect came up behind her and tried to pull her purse off her shoulder, according to a social media report from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim was pulled to the floor and struck her head, the report stated.
A second victim heard and went to help. As the suspect rounded the corner, he punched the second victim in the face, also knocking her to the ground, the report stated.
The suspect fled the area in a vehicle, and there were no major injuries, the report stated.
Aggravated robbery reported on Metropolitan
Victims were helping a customer purchase a cellphone at 5:33 p.m. Aug. 27 at 22nd and Metropolitan when an incident occurred, according to a social media post from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
When she entered the store for purchase, the suspect ran behind the counter, yelling he had a gun and pushing the victim to the ground, the report stated.
The suspect was last seen running south from the store, the report stated.
Domestic aggravated assault reported
A victim told police her brother had a gun and threatened to kill her and her children about 11:56 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 500 block of Freeman Drive, according to a social media post from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
When officers arrived, they took him into custody without incident, according to the report.
