Grandma accused of aggravated assault
A woman arrived at a victim’s house, looking for her granddaughter, about 10:30 a.m. Aug 5 in the 1100 block of South 36th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
When the victim was unable to contact the granddaughter, the grandmother became upset and pointed a gun at her, according to the report.
The suspect fled in a vehicle before officers arrived, the report stated.
Burglary reported to business on State Avenue
A burglary was reported at 5:51 a.m. Aug. 5 to a business at 72nd and State Avenue, according to a social media note from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers went to the business on an alarm and found damage to the front door, according to the report.
An employee then arrived and told officers several items had been taken, according to the report.
Shooting reported at 10th and Ridge
After a verbal altercation, two persons began shooting at each other about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 5 at 10th and Ridge, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
One was struck in the leg and taken to an area hospital the report stated. The other person was not located.
