The suspect accelerated his vehicle at the victim as he attempted to request the stolen merchandise be returned, the report stated. There were no injuries.
Shooting reported on Minnesota Avenue
A victim was traveling in the 1300 block of Minnesota Avenue at 1:31 p.m. July 31 when he heard several shots, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
His vehicle was struck, and there were no injuries, according to the report.
Victim cut with machete
A victim suffered cuts from a machete at 4:02 p.m. July 31 in the 1200 block of North 10th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The suspect was taken into custody, the report stated. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
Vehicle stolen at gunpoint
A victim told police that he gave a ride to several individuals at 8 p.m. July 31 in the 2800 block of State Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
One of the individuals brandished a firearm and demanded his vehicle, the report stated. There were no injuries.
