Victim shot after refusing to turn over his vehicle in robbery
64th and State Avenue – An aggravated battery and attempted robbery was reported at 1:09 a.m. Sept. 9 in the 64th and State Avenue area. A victim told police he was throwing trash away when a suspect approached him, produced a handgun and demanded his vehicle, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. When the victim refused, he was shot once in the face and fled on foot. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries.

Victim shot after refusing to give his necklace to suspect
100 block of North Mill – An aggravated battery and attempted robbery was reported at 3:16 a.m. Sept. 9 in the 100 block of North Mill, according to a social media post by police. A victim told police that the suspect walked toward him, pointed a handgun at him and demanded his necklace, police stated. When the victim refused and tried to push the gun away, he was shot in the hand.

Kidnapping and robbery reported
6200 block of Nebraska – A kidnapping and robbery was reported at 3:58 a.m. Sept. 8 in the 6200 block of Nebraska, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. According to a victim, she was giving a ride to two males when they produced a gun and forced her to drive them around the city. The suspects left the victim near 62nd and Nebraska and fled with her vehicle, according to police. The victim was not injured.

Suspects take victim’s vehicle
18th and Minnesota – A robbery was reported at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 8 at 18th and Minnesota Avenue, according to a social media post by police. The victim stated she received a phone call from one of the suspects asking for a ride. At this location, the suspect and a second male made her get out of the car, and they drove off with her vehicle, according to police.
