Victim hit by gunfire

A victim was hit by gunfire about 6:10 p.m. April 14 in the 1200 block of Oakland Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a suspect with a gun running away from the area, according to the report. Officers took the suspect into custody, the report stated.

The victim went to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shooting reported on North 3rd

A shooting into an occupied home was reported at 11:36 p.m. April 14 in the 1900 block of North 3rd Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Victims were inside their house when a suspect shot into it, the report stated. There were no injuries.

Aggravated battery reported

A victim went to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound about 12:31 a.m. April 14, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The victim said a suspect started yelling and then shooting at the victim, according to the report.

Aggravated robbery reported

A victim saw a suspect looking through the victim’s belongings about 8:57 a.m. April 14, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The victim confronted the suspect, then the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and took the victim’s belongings, including keys, the report stated. The suspect left the scene with the victim’s vehicle, according to the report.
