Shooting reported near 3300 block of Wood
A shooting was reported about 9:17 p.m. Feb. 29 in the 3300 block of Wood Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
A victim stated that suspects approached, asking for a light and money, according to the report. As the victim reached for a back pocket, the victim was shot, according to the report. The victim was not cooperative, police reported.
Police saw the victim at an area hospital where the victim went.
Stabbing reported
A stabbing was reported in a domestic aggravated battery case about 8:50 p.m. Feb. 29, according to a social media report by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The suspect stabbed the victim with a knife during an argument, according to the report. The suspect then fled on foot, the report stated.
Pursuit reported on 5500 block of State Avenue
A vehicle failed to stop for traffic violations about 9:27 p.m. Feb. 29 in the 5500 block of State Avenue, according to a social media report by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The suspect failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated, according to police. The pursuit later was ended.
