Pursuit reported on Kansas Avenue
A pursuit was reported at 2:44 a.m. Feb. 20 in the 6200 block of Kansas Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

When a vehicle failed to stop for speeding, a pursuit was initiated, police stated. The pursuit went a short distance and then was terminated, according to police. The suspect was not apprehended.

Pursuit reported on Ann Avenue
A pursuit was reported at 4:27 a.m. Feb. 20 in the 700 block of Ann Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.


An officer reported locating a stolen vehicle and tried to stop it. The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit was started, according to the report. The pursuit later was terminated, and the suspect was not apprehended, the report stated.

Stolen vehicle recovered after victim follows suspect

A stolen vehicle was recovered after the victim followed a suspect about 5:55 p.m. Feb. 20 in the 1200 block of Central Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

A victim saw the stolen vehicle, with the suspect and a passenger inside it, the report stated. The suspect pointed a gun at the victims and drove off, the report stated. The victims followed the vehicle at a safe distance and called 911, the report stated.

Officers then located the stolen vehicle, and the suspect fled on foot, the report stated. A perimeter was set up and the suspect was taken into custody, police reported. The passenger also was located, police stated.

House damaged by gunfire on North 22nd
A house was damaged by gunfire about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the 2700 block of North 22nd Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

A victim reported the home had been shot by suspects. Officers responded and found dthe house was damaged by gunfire, according to the report. No injuries were reported, police stated.

House struck by gunfire
Another house was struck by gunfire about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The house was struck multiple times, according to the report. The victims, including juveniles, were inside the house at the time of the shooting, the report stated. There were no injuries reported.

Pursuit reported on 78th Street
Officers tried to stop a vehicle for a switched tag about 11:40 p.m. Feb. 20 in the 800 block of North 78th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. (The address is not far from 78th and Tauromee.)

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated, according to the report. The pursuit later was terminated, and the suspect was not apprehended, according to the report.

Shooting reported at residence
A shooting into a residence was reported at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 20, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. Residents, including two juveniles, were inside the home at the time, according to the report. There were no injuries reported.
