Victim shot after giving a ride to suspect
A victim was shot after giving a ride to a suspect at 9:44 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 2200 block of Birch Drive, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers found the victim in a car with a gunshot wound, according to the report. The victim stated that the victim picked up an unknown suspect at a gas station and gave the suspect a ride to the area, the report stated.
The suspect then shot the victim, the report stated. The victim was taken to a hospital.
Suspect in domestic disturbance tasered
A suspect in a domestic disturbance was tasered around 8:58 p.m. Feb. 13, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance and found that the suspect had confirmed warrants, according to the report. When officers tried to take the suspect into custody, the suspect resisted by pulling away and trying to flee on foot, the report stated.
Police stated that the suspect refused to follow commands. An officer then deployed a taser and placed the suspect into custody, according to the report.
There were no injuries, police stated; however, the suspect was taken to a hospital at the suspect’s request.
Theft reported
A theft was reported about 6:20 p.m. Feb. 13 at a store in the 1800 block of Village West Parkway, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Two suspects stole merchandise from a store and ran to a waiting vehicle, according to the report.
