Barricade on Ella ends with individuals in custody
Kansas City, Kansas, police responded to an address in the 8300 block of Ella Avenue at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, on reports of an overdose. Officers found a wanted fugitive in the house, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. Individuals were taken into custody, and the case was referred to the U.S. Marshals Service and ATF.

Shooting reported on Yecker
A shooting into an occupied home was reported in the 6200 block of Yecker, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. A victim said several shots were heard. One shot entered a bedroom in the home, and there were no injuries.

Suspect in disturbance attempts to flee
The suspect in a disturbance and child endangerment call at 7:46 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 1600 block of Richmond attempted to flee in a vehicle, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. There was a short pursuit, then the suspect was taken into custody, according to police. There were no injuries reported.

Police respond to assault case
Kansas City, Kansas, police responded to a domestic situation at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 10 on North 34th Street, according to a social media post by police. A victim reported that the father of her child pointed a gun at her, according to police.
