Robbery reported on Powell Avenue
A robbery was reported at 12:38 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 3100 block of Powell Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
A victim stated that two suspects came up to the victim, asking if the victim could make change, according to the report. When the victim opened the victim’s wallet, the two suspects took the money and left, according to the report.
Aggravated assault reported
An aggravated assault was reported at 4:35 a.m. in the 2000 block of North 51st Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The suspect was told to leave the house by the victim, according to the report. The suspect got out a gun and pointed it at the victim, the report stated. The suspect made a threatening remark toward the victim, according to the report. The suspect fled on foot before police arrived.
Battery on law enforcement officer reported
Battery on a law enforcement officer was reported about 4:12 p.m. Feb. 8. Officers located a stolen auto in the 1000 block of Central Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
According to the report, officers tried to stop the stolen auto, but the vehicle did not stop and a vehicle pursuit was started.
The suspect struck a fence and fled on foot in the area of the 3000 block of Brown Avenue, the report stated. Officers followed on foot.
The suspect began hitting an officer, and a K-9 was deployed, according to the report. The suspect was taken into custody. A person was taken to a hospital, the report stated.
