Vehicle pursuit reported on Park Drive
A vehicle pursuit was reported at 2:57 a.m. in the 2100 block of Park Drive, according to a social media report by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the vehicle did not stop, according to the report. The officers then pursued the vehicle. The pursuit went a short distance and then the officers terminated the pursuit, the report stated.
Attempted kidnapping reported
A victim was waiting for a school bus when a suspect ran toward the victim at 7:45 a.m. Jan. 31, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim began running, then a passer-by picked up the victim and took the victim to a safe place, according to the report. The suspect left in an unknown direction, according to the report.
Shots fired near 55th and Georgia
Shots were fired in the 5500 block of Georgia Avenue about 10:45 a.m. Jan. 31, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
An unknown suspect attempted to pass the victim’s vehicle, according to the report. The suspect then fired shots at the victim, the report stated.
