Police need more information in homicide investigation

Police said today they have received some information from individuals and social media, but do not yet have a suspect in custody in the homicide investigation of the death of 10-year-old Machole J. Stewart.

Machole was killed in a drive-by shooting while inside a home in the 1400 block of New Jersey Avenue Sunday evening in Kansas City, Kan.

Police still need the cooperation of individuals who may have intimate knowledge of the circumstances that led to Machole’s death, a police spokesman said.

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department Major Case Unit is investigating the case.
