A man was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound near 44th and Parallel Parkway on Friday, Jan. 1, according to a spokesman with the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers were dispatched about 2:20 p.m. Jan. 1 to the location, and found a deceased person lying in the snow, the spokesman stated.
An initial investigation found that the incident likely occurred in the early hours this morning, according to the spokesman.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit.
