Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a shooting during a burglary in the 1900 block of Minnesota Avenue, according to a spokesman.
A preliminary investigation indicated that during the aggravated burglary of a residence, an occupant of the home confronted and shot the suspect, the police spokesman stated.
At about 1:05 a.m. Feb. 1, officers responded and found a male who had been shot, the spokesman stated.
Also responding to the scene were Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department personnel, who confirmed the victim was deceased.
