Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating a death in the 200 block of South 8th Street, according to a spokesman.
At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, police officers were dispatched to that location because of a report of a non-responsive male in his 20s, the police spokesman said.
The victim was found dead in the basement of a home where he was temporarily staying, the police spokesman said. The cause of death cannot be determined and is awaiting an autopsy, the spokesman said.
The man’s identity is being withheld until there is positive identification and family notification, according to police.
The death is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
