Kansas City, Kan., police officers responded to a shooting at 3:55 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, in the 1800 block of Oakland Avenue, a police spokesman said.
Officers found a man in his late teens who was shot and laying in the street, the spokesman said. The victim was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
