Kansas City, Kan., police officers are investigating a shooting death at 3:42 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 1900 block of North 24th Street in Kansas City, Kan.
When they arrived, officers found a male in his 40s inside the residence, dead from a gunshot wound, a police spokesman said.
The identity of the victim will be withheld until positive identification is made and family are notified.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit.
