Police are investigating a shooting death that occurred during the night in the 2500 block of Ridge Avenue.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department responded at 2:34 a.m. May 30 to reports of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers found a woman in the street, dead from apparent gunshot wounds, a police spokesman said.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending positive identification and family notification, police said.
This incident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
