Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a homicide in the 1600 block of Richmond Avenue.
According to a police spokesman, officers responded to a report of a shooting at about 6:01 p.m. Dec. 25. Officers found two persons who had been shot, the spokesman stated.
A man in his 70s was found outside the home, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, police stated.
A woman in her 50s inside the residence had minor injuries, the police spokesman stated. The woman was taken to a hospital.
The identity of the deceased victim will not be released until there is positive identification and family notification, the spokesman stated.
