Police have identified the man who was fatally shot on May 2 in the 2400 block of Wood Avenue.
The man was Manuel Palacio, 27, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
According to police, the Violent Crime Task Force was conducting a narcotics investigation at that location when they were confronted by an armed suspect. The man was shot and killed while police were trying to make an arrest, according to the spokesman.
