Shooting reported on North 10th Street
An aggravated battery and criminal damage case was reported at 10:23 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 300 block of North 10th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
When they arrived, officers found that multiple vehicles had been damaged by gunfire, according to the report.
Blood was found on the scene, but no victim could be located, police reported.
Officer has minor injuries while working accident scene
Officers were completing a report and working an accident scene on the highway near 7th and I-70 at 2:50 a.m. Dec. 21 when a vehicle unrelated to the accident crashed into the police vehicle with the officer inside, according to a social media post by the police department.
The officer had minor injuries and was treated at a hospital, the report stated.
After investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and a different agency responded to assist with the DUI, according to the report.
Shots fired at home
A shooting into an occupied dwelling was reported about 4:03 a.m. Dec. 21 in the 2700 block of Walker Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Victims were sleeping in the house when a suspect or suspects shot at their house multiple times, according to the report.
No injuries were reported.
Fire reported on South Coy
A single-story structure fire was reported in the 200 block of South Coy in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department.
The fire was reported about 5 a.m. Dec. 21. Fire was showing when crews arrived and a defensive fire attack was used, according to the report.
