Victim shot on North 10th
A victim was shot about 2:20 p.m. Aug. 10 on North 10th Street, according to a social media post by Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
Officers responded to a call about battery and discovered a female with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim stated she heard a gunshot while walking southbound on North 10th, and was struck by a bullet, according to the report. She was taken to a hospital.
Two other victims were traveling in a vehicle northbound on 10th at the same time, the report stated. They heard a shot and their rear passenger window was broken by a bullet, the report stated. Neither occupant was injured. Detectives responded to the scene.
Vehicle fire extinguished
The Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department quickly extinguished a fire in an abandoned vehicle that was next to a building on Aug. 9, according to a social media post by the Fire Department. The vehicle was at 300 Sunshine Road.
Parking enforcement on bridge
Kansas City, Kansas, police posted on Facebook recently that they will start enforcing the ban on parking on the old Central Avenue bridge over the Kansas River.
