Commercial burglary reported on Leavenworth Road

A commercial burglary was reported at 5:15 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 7300 block of Leavenworth Road, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

When they arrived, officers found that damage had been done to the location, and there were items that had been taken, according to the report.

Assault on law enforcement officer reported

Officers responded to s dispatched disturbance call around 9:03 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 1400 block of Village West Parkway, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

A suspect had been asked to leave by management multiple times but had refused, according to the report. The suspect was then walked outside the location, but tried to return, the report stated.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Wyandotte County Jail after kicking officers several times, according to the report.

Aggravated assault reported on 9th Street

Officers responded to a call about aggravated assault at 3:40 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 900 block of North 9th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers learned that an unknown suspect drove behind the victims while they were at their residence, according to the report. The suspect then pointed a weapon at the victims, the report stated. The suspect then fled, according to the report.

Residential fires reported

Fires were reported on Sunday afternoon at 620 N. 83rd Terrace and at 5545 Webster Ave., according to social media posts by the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department.

There were no injuries reported with the fires.

The causes of the fires are under investigation, according to the report.
