Raccoons in Fire Station 17
The topic of raccoons at Fire Station 17, on South 51st in the Turner area, came up at the Unified Government meeting at 7 p.m. June 27.
UG Administrator Doug Bach, in answer to a question from Commissioner Mike Kane, said raccoons were discovered in the station a few days ago.
An outside agency was contacted to make sure the raccoons were not in the living areas. They set some traps, and also allowed an exit for the raccoons to escape, according to Bach.

Kane said he would like to get some answers on this.
