Planning Commission to meet Monday evening

The Kansas City, Kansas, Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 13, in a meeting using the internet, including Zoom.

On the planning commission’s agenda:

• Special use permit renewal petition for a modular classroom, Piper School District, 4420 N. 107th St.;
• Final plat for Cabela’s Second Plat, two commercial lots, Lindsey Lund, Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s, 10300 Cabela Drive;
• Final plat for six single-family lots, West Ridge Estates Second Plat, 4401 N. 115th St.
• Final plat for three lots (nine tracts), 1620 N. 118th St. and 11704 State Ave., American Royal, 11602 State Ave., in conjunction with a final plan review.
• Final plan review to rebuild Captain D’s restaurant, which was destroyed by fire, at 7523 State Ave.
• Final plan review for improvements and force main rehabilitation to Pump Station No. 2, 300 N. James St.
• Change of zone from single-family district to planned heavy industrial district for outdoor storage of used, damaged and undamaged, operable and inoperable automobiles, trucks, other vehicles, boats and construction-farm equipment and machinery for wholesale online and retail auction, with accessory office, shipping, receiving and customer parking, in conjunction with special use application, 8600 Gibbs Road.
• Special use permit to keep a horse, 3447 N. 31st Ter.
• Special use permit to keep chickens and livestock, 3456 N.31st Ter.
• Special use permit for outdoor storage of used, damaged and undamaged, operable and inoperable automobiles, trucks, other vehicles, boats and construction-farm equiopment and machinery for wholesale online and retail auction, with accessory office, shipping, receiving and customer parking, in conjunction with change of zone application, 8440 Gibbs Road.
• Special use permit to keep small livestock, chickens, ducks, goats and a mini pony, 3425 N. 87th.
• Special use permit for grading for possible future development, 1151 N. 126th St.
• Home occupation special use permit for a short-term rental – AirBNB, 2751 Espenlaub Lane.
• Special use permit for a short-term rental – AirBNB at 3846 and 2848 N. 123rd.
• Vacation of a street, 508 Ohio Ave.

The Unified Government announced that all persons planning testimony for the meeting are asked to use Zoom, with instructions found on the UG’s website. Those participating were asked to register in advance at https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_1tUwRZBiRQ60uqyDN5rdLg.

Those who are not participating in the meeting may watch it without registering on UGTV, on Google and on Spectrum cable. The meeting also can be viewed on YouTube under Unified Government Planning and Zoning.

While the public may attend the meeting, they will be subject to social distancing and security screening.
