Piper High School – girls basketball at Paola Tournament (1st place)
– Piper varsity defeated Paola 65-59
– All-Tournament team: Jessica Wayne, senior, and Ryan Cobbins, freshman
– Wayne broke her 4 day old school record of points in a game with 32 in the championship game.
Piper High School – debate at Tonganoxie (2nd place overall as a team)
– Corey Mann and Maggie Wolf went 5-0 and placed 3rd in their division.
– Cara Bruce and Kara Evans went 4-1 and placed 8th in their division.
– Tyler Ash, Kara Evans, Raven Fletcher, Jamison Foglesong, Michael Gentry, Dylan Hendrix, Corey Mann, Max Schumaker, and Maggie Wolf all qualified for state champs at this tournament, bringing the number of state qualified debaters up to 20.
