The University of Kansas Cancer Center is celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day Oct. 21 with an event at the Legends Outlets, 1843 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan.
From 5 to 7 p.m. in the Civic Courtyard Fountain, this free, fun family event includes a special ceremony at 6 p.m. It is open to the public.
Other activities include skin care product giveaways, free drawings for facials, breast screening information, face painting, kids activities, a photo booth and light refreshments. KC Wolf is expected to make an appearance.
Parking is free at Legends Outlets. Additional parking is available in a garage near Parallel Parkway (exit Parallel Parkway west from I-435).
