UPDATE: Because of the weather forecast, this event has been moved to the KCK Animal Shelter at 3301 Park Drive, Kansas City, Kansas, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
A pet adoption day is planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the new Kansas City, Kansas, dog park at 801 N. 4th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
The event is planned by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Animal Services Unit.
Dogs can be adopted for $50, which includes spay-neuter, vaccinations and microchip.
Cats can be adopted at the animal shelter at 3301 Park Drive, for $20, which includes spay-neuter and vaccinations.
