Greg Orman, independent candidate for U.S. Senate, was at Breit’s Friday on North 5th Street in Kansas City, Kan., to meet voters.

An estimated 150 people met Orman, an independent candidate who faces Republican incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts in the general election. The crowd was larger than had been anticipated.

“We have been traveling all across the state of Kansas to find out what they think,” Orman said. “They believed the people in Washington are not doing their job and they’re not getting anything accomplished. We want to change that.”
