A resident was rescued from a burning house today by a person passing by, according to the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters received a call about a fire at 2523 N. 38th St. at 1:40 p.m. Jan. 18, according to the spokesman. When they arrived, the home was fully involved.
The resident who was rescued was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, according to the spokesman. There were no other injuries.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation, the spokesman stated. The loss to the home was $75,000 and to the property, $15,000.
